Monthly Meeting Highlights

Relationship Building
WE GOT OUR H BACK! Signs on Hwy 59 identifying our hospital will be H again, not “+” sign.
Expanded Board: We continue to build relationships amongst our diverse group of representatives of the business, education, Metis, municipal recreation and seniors sectors.
Web Site: We are updating our aged web site to reflect the changes to the region being served and the sectors involved. We will use a diversity of social media. With increased hiring of people not familiar with our region, it’s important that we point to our municipalities who are providing the information newcomers are looking for.
Watch Parties are being planned in St Adolphe and St-Pierre-Jolys on October 22. The third annual Communities Making a Difference: Learning from Each Other is FREE and features a local keynote speaker, followed by 6 community presenters. Other Community News
A collaborative effort between the DDHC Health Services Manager, Southern Health – Santé Sud Maintenance management and staff, community volunteers and new residents resulted in a major clean-up of the grounds, just in time for parade-goers to enjoy during Frog Follies. The initiative allowed new residents seeking volunteer opportunities to connect and become involved in the community. The efforts of the volunteers complemented the great work of the facility maintenance team. Special recognition of Carlos Codjo, CDEM Employment and Immigration Counsellor who helped recruit the volunteers and ensure necessary documentation, and to Roger Lesage and Claudette Closson who shared their expertise. A big thank you to everyone who contributed their time and energy to this wonderful community effort! From left to right: Naomie, Ronald, Daddy, Léon, Sirinatou, Carlos, Claudette, Ornela
